Does it read Arabic?
Yes. Choose Arabic or Arabic + English as the text language. Printed text works best; handwriting is much harder.
Why does the first run take longer?
The text recognition engine (about 4 MB) downloads the first time you use it and is then cached by your browser.
What is a searchable PDF?
A PDF that looks like your scan but has an invisible text layer, so you can search it and copy text from it.
Is the text sent to a server?
No. Recognition runs entirely in your browser.
Are my documents uploaded to a server?
No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device. Your photos and PDFs are never sent to us, so it is safe for IDs, contracts and bank papers.
